The San Jose Sharks have signed Stanley Cup winner Antti Niemi to a one-year deal worth $2 million, according to TSN. The 27-year-old joins fellow Finnish goalie Antero Niittymaki as the new goaltending tandem in San Jose. Niemi was let go by the Chicago Blackhawks last month, who instead opted to sign former Dallas Stars goalie Marty Turco.

According to NHL.com, the Tampa Bay Lightning and Montreal Canadiens have swapped goaltenders. The Lightning are sending Kari Ramo to Montreal, while the Canadiens send Cedrick Desjardins to Tampa Bay. Ramo, 24, played in the KHL last season, but has skated in 48 NHL games in his career.

According to TSN, the Anaheim Ducks are bringing back forward Teemu Selanne next season and might be looking add one of his former teammates. Selanne signed a one-year deal, reportedly worth more than $3 million. Selanne scored 48 points in 54 games last season. The Ducks are also reportedly looking into signing former Anaheim captain Paul Kariya, who played with the St. Louis Blues the past three seasons. Kariya scored 43 points in 75 games last season in St. Louis.

Madden To Minnesota

The Minnesota Wild have signed veteran forward John Madden to a one-year, $1 million deal. The 37-year-old won his third Stanley Cup last season with the Chicago Blackhawks. Madden, known as a defensive forward, scored 13 points and won 53 percent of his faceoffs in 79 games last season with Chicago.

The Chicago Blackhawks continue altering their roster this summer this time making a change in net. The Blackhawks decided to let Stanley Cup winning goaltender Antti Niemi become a free agent after he was awarded a $2.75 million contract via arbitration. Instead, the team opted to sign free agent goalie Marty Turco to a one-year deal worth $1.3 million. Turco, 35, has spent his entire career with the Dallas Stars. Last season he finished 22-20-11 in 53 games posting a 2.72 goals against average, a .913 save percentage, and four shutouts. The 26-year-old posted 26 wins, a 2.25 goals against average, a .912 save percentage, and seven shutouts in 39 games with Chicago last season.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired winger Simon Gagne from the Philadelphia Flyers in exchange for defenseman Matt Walker and a 2011 fourth round pick. Gagne, 30, scored 40 points in 58 games with the Flyers last season. He also added nine goals and 12 points in 19 playoff games with Philadelphia. Gagne is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent next summer. Walker, also 30, scored five points in 66 games last season with the Lightning.
